SUMMER STEELHEAD RIGHT NOW
Clancy's Fishing Team starts our Summer Steelhead fishing the first of June & it lasts into August on the Cowlitz & Columbia Rivers.
THE COLUMBIA RIVER below Longview is possibly the best most productive Summer Steelhead fishery in the Northwest. These are shiny bright, fresh run, hard fighting steelhead. They are the finest quality steelhead you will ever catch. Delicious on the dinner plate. We fish bait on the bottom during the outgoing tide & float coon shrimp under bobbers during the incoming tide. Full limits for all, is the norm with many hookups, fish on & excitement. We will be there to teach you to catch these steelhead & take home a full ice chest.
THE COWLITZ RIVER, everyone waits all year for the Summer Steelhead fishing on the Mighty Cowlitz River in June, July & August. It is exciting fishing on a beautiful river, casting light, refined spinning tackle & drifting out of the boat. On the light tackle we use, each fish is a real challenge to land. Limits for all, if you are with a good guide happen daily. You have both a guide & deckhand helping to keep things running smoothly.

BUOY 10 SALMON 2026
Fall King and Coho Salmon in the Columbia River fishing is outstanding. The season opens August 1st. Many Kings & lots of Coho at the same time. The preseason forecast for fall 2026 is well over a MILLION SALMON to swim up past the Astoria Bridge, the majority of them in August. I believe the run will exceed a MILLION & A QUARTER Kings & COHO COMBINED. We will be there guiding the BUOY 10 FISHERY all of August.
September 1 we will move our operation above Bonneville Dam to Drano Lake.
October 1st we move into the tributaries, mainly the Cowlitz, Lewis & Chehalis Rivers. We will keep our clients where the best fishing opportunities are through the entire season.
